OUR HISTORY?
Ramdeen’s Industrial and Safety Supply Ltd. was founded in August 1992, at a time when professional, commercial and industrial signage was limited to hand-painted signage on mild steel and other type of metal substrate. Our company, based in Southern Trinidad supplied ready made signs imported from the Untied Kingdom, made according to the British European Signage Standards.
Our Growth in the Signage Sector was also propelled by changes in local requirements, largely due to a mandate from the Ministry of Energy, which required companies operating in the Oil Field and the Petro-Chemical Field to update their operations with signage that met international standards and include symbols (pictogram) and color coding requirements. This resulted an immediate need for standardize signage to meet international standards and created a unique opportunity for the import and fabrication of signage/signage material that would withstand harsh environments, sea-blast, natural gas and chemical vapors and meet ANSI Standard.
As early members of the International Signs Association (ISA) and the Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA), Ramdeen’s Industrial and Safety Supply Ltd. was amongst the first company in Trinidad and Tobago with the capability to produce signage locally that met international standards. These memberships continue to hold relevance to our business in 2022, by instilling a determination to utilize the newest developments in the Signage Industry, including innovations in sign material, sign equipment and software. By communication with our prospective clients and providing personalized advice, we are able to guarantee the appropriate material selection to be used for the heavy industry that would withstand the harsh elements.
